Hello David,davidferguson a écrit : ↑jeu. 31 oct. 2024 - 12:35 (Apologies for answering in English)
To answer the question if anyone has tried this, I have - given I wrote it
I use a modified version of it quite a lot at home to generate a DTS signal for prints I have that do not have a DTS timecode. And I actually used it for the first time in a real cinema this month, and it all went well, no issues.
I have also done one of the other two things mentioned in this thread - made a program that splits up a DVD/bluray audio into files, that can then be converted into the AUD format, and run on a normal DTS player. I have some code for this, but have not yet put it online.
Any questions about my code, about DTS and the timecode format, and and I'm happy to try and answer.
David
Once I install my 35mm equipment, I'll be trying to do the reverse, using the time-code from the reader on the projector to sync a PC or a Raspberry Pi playing a soundtrack file that I don't have a DTS disc for. It could be interesting playing a modern Dolby Atmos track with a 35mm print
